Help send a little girl to school

Girls account for more than one half of the approximately 75 million children out of school. Fathers in countries like India, Afghanistan, Benin, and Yemen are often the ones to decide whether or not their girls receive an education. Join us in helping girls enroll in school with the help of their fathers through the coordination of the Father and Daughter Alliance.

Deepalaya is an ISO 9001:2008 certified non - government organization that believes in enabling self reliance and is committed to working on issues affecting the urban and rural poor, with a special focus on women and children.

Objectives of the Father and Daughter Alliance

Deepalaya believes that when you educate a female child in India, you educate an entire family. They see it as their duty to empower each child with the right education and training so that she can not only achieve success, but can also share her knowledge with her current and future family members. The Father and Daughter Alliance, or FADA, is a project that aims to identify and provide remedial education to girls who are school dropouts and/or non-school goers in order to mainstream them into formal schools. FADA classes are held at the Deepalaya School Sanjay Colony campus in the afternoon. Apart from remedial education, the girls are encouraged to take part in several skill development classes such as arts and crafts, sewing and computers.
